Forest ginseng processing
Gently dug out by hand
After careful hand harvesting in the forests of Jeonju, the ginseng is washed with water from the surrounding mountain springs and thus prepared for further processing. To avoid any loss of nutrients, it is extremely important to process the freshly harvested and carefully cleaned forest ginseng without long transport routes.
In order to prepare it for the next processing steps, the forest ginseng, after cleaning, is distributed by hand on bamboo mats and carefully spread out. It is important not to damage the extremely valuable roots and not to lay them on top of each other in order to ensure uniform processing.
For the processing we have developed a special process called "G-Hiexpontential", With this we achieve that the ginsenosides of forest ginseng, which are particularly important for skin and hair care, are potentiated in their concentration and have an optimal skin availability. The processing procedure takes an average of 30 days and includes steaming and drying processes.
In the first step, the forest ginseng roots are steamed and then gently dried under natural conditions, without the use of electric drying equipment, in special halls for 3 to 4 days per pass. This is followed by steaming again with appropriate drying. We repeat this procedure a total of 9 times. In the course of the G-Hiexpontential process, the forest ginseng passes through the stage from white to red to black forest ginseng.
