    Self-love ritual for normal and combination skin

    Me-time. One day a week belongs to you and your skin for two hours. A moment of peace to reconnect with yourself and feel yourself. Put on your bathrobe, forget all your worries for a moment - let your soul dangle. Reflect on what is really important and pamper your body and mind. For our self-love ritual it is important that you find a place of peace and relaxation - without disturbing factors. First of all, create a pleasant atmosphere in terms of room temperature, create a relaxed and pleasant light, set up scented candles and, if you like, listen to your favorite music or an audio book. Everyone relaxes in his or her individual way - your wellness moment belongs only to you!

    Breathe deeply and create an awareness that you will spend the next 120 minutes only with yourself and your body. Now feel how your body relaxes.

    Step 1

    Cleaning

     

    First, it's time to take off the makeup, cleanse the face deep into the pores and let go internally. To do this, first prepare the skin with warm water and then gently massage the cleanser with fingertips for 30 seconds in circular motions from the forehead to the neck. After cleansing, the face should be rinsed with warm water. Finally, use cold water to tone the skin.

    Tip: After cleansing, you can also use a Gua Sha stone to boost the lymphatic system and remove toxins. Gua Sha is one of many beauty trends from Asia, where gemstones are used for facial care and massage. This special massage has been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for centuries. Gua Sha is made up of the little words "Gua" and "Sha", which can be translated as "scraping" and "redness of the skin". Thus, the stones are gently scraped over the face, after which the skin is slightly reddened.

    Mask

     

    Put on a mask! We love masks, at any time and anywhere. But especially whenever we want to relax. To prepare the skin for the mask, our facial care set contains an exfoliating pad that gently removes old skin flakes. To do this, run the white smooth side of the pad in gentle, circular motions over the forehead and cheeks, as well as your neck area. Use the green side of the pad to gently massage the chin and nose area. Then rinse the skin with lukewarm water.
    Now follows the application of the mask for face and neck. First, evenly distribute the contained excess serum with your fingertips on the face and neck area. The side of the face mask without foil is placed directly on the face, adjusting the eye, nose and mouth area. You should position the neck mask where you want the smoothing effect. Leave it on for 20 minutes and then gently massage the remaining serum into the skin with your fingertips.

    The exposure time of the mask is perfect for a mindfulness exercise. A perfect exercise for beginners is to consciously activate your senses and thereby train them.

    Feel: What do you feel? Do you feel a sensation on your skin? How do you perceive the clothes on your body? Do you hold an object in your hands? If so, how does it feel?
    Smell: What smells do you perceive in your environment? Do they feel familiar or new? Hearing: What do you hear? Is it loud or quiet right now? What individual sounds can you identify? We tend to tune out familiar sounds after a while, so pay attention to them now and then to make yourself aware of them.
    Taste: What are you tasting at this moment? Seeing: What do you see? Look carefully around the room and try to pay attention to small details. You may discover details that you have not yet paid attention to. Become aware of your surroundings by looking closely at everything.

    The toner is an important step to clarify the skin and prepare it for the subsequent care. Note: If the toner is applied with a cotton pad, not all of the liquid will end up on the face. Since you are taking your time today, it is best to use your hands. We recommend you use the Korean tapping technique: for this, put some of the toner in one of your palms and gradually take some away with the fingers of the other hand and gently tap it on your face and neck. Keep tapping until all of the toner has been absorbed. This promotes blood circulation and at the same time makes the skin silky soft.

    Especially in stressful times, our complexion suffers, is sallow and urgently needs a boost to shine again. So take 2-3 drops of the booster, apply the product directly to the facial skin and gently massage it in.

    Intensive eye care

    The area around our eyes is constantly in motion and is therefore particularly stressed. Especially through the use of computers and smartphones, our eyes move up to 100,000 times per day. Too little sleep, poor nutrition and stress are usually added to this. All this is unfortunately visible through small wrinkles and dark circles under the eyes. One more reason to give the eye area special attention and an extra portion of care.

    Tip: Start with facial gymnastics against wrinkles around the eyes. This little exercise is simple but effective - it helps to tighten wrinkles around the eyes. Simply open your eyes as wide as possible. Now look up until you feel a slight tug in the eye area and hold this pose for about 5 seconds. Next, look to the right side and hold there again for 5 seconds. Finally, repeat the exercise on the left side. The entire exercise should be performed 4-5 times.
     

    But now it's time to relax. Remove two eye patches and apply them to the lower lash line, starting at the inner corner of the eye. The application time here is at least 30 minutes. Afterwards, you can remove the eye patches and gently pat the remaining essence into the skin with your fingertips.

    By the way, the eye patches hold very well on the skin - so the 30 minutes can be used for a little power nap or some relaxing yoga exercises.

    Eye care

     

    After the eye patches, we provide the fine skin under the eyes with a moisturizing care. Tip: Because the skin around the eyes is particularly thin, eye creams are often applied very carefully. However, this can actually aggravate shadows. Gentle but firm pressure is the most effective method for puffy eyes. After all, puffiness only occurs here because the eye area is not touched enough. First, start patting the cream in with your ring fingers from the area above the cheekbones to the bone below the eyebrows - the fingertip should be turned slightly in each case. Then, also using the ring finger, circle from the nose to the eyebrows, at the outer corners of the eyes and below the eyes back to the starting point.

    Now the facial care is applied. In order for the facial care to develop its full effect, you should take time today not only to distribute it, but to apply it properly. Therefore, combine this step with a small facial massage to properly work the product into the skin. In order to stimulate the blood circulation, start with the massage at the neck, up to the middle of the face and then back to the sides of the neck. Now continue massaging from the chin to the ears and over the cheekbones. For the forehead, you may increase the pressure slightly and work with the index and middle finger from left to right - gladly also in zigzag movements to massage the muscles.

    Firming neck and décolleté cream

    Now it's time for the ultimate relaxation climax to conclude the self-love ritual. A moment of self-massage, where we show our body how much we love and appreciate it - and at the same time it is cared for in a caressingly tender way. Relaxing and vitalizing massages belong to the oldest remedies in the world. Because touching the skin activates the happiness hormone oxytocin, which increases our sense of well-being. A massage also increases the levels of dopamine and serotonin, which also ensures the release of happiness hormones. Stress hormones and blood pressure are lowered at the same time, while the pulse rate slows down. Massages bring body and soul back into balance. But before you start the massage, remember to relax completely - breathe in and out deeply. Do you feel relaxed and calm inside?
     

    Now take some of the neck and décolleté cream in your hand. Start from the lower jaw and stroke several times down to the back of the neck and from there back up again. It is important that the downward movements are performed with gentle pressure and the upward movements without pressure.

    Now spread the cream on the décolleté. Starting at the shoulder, we stroke with large circular movements over the chest to the ribs. Be aware of your body and practice self-acceptance.

    Body care

     

    Next, we turn to the body cream and start with the arms. Here, the cream is distributed with circular movements over the left shoulder, elbow and wrist. The circles should be small and powerful on the upper arm and a little more extensive and gentle on the joints. After a few repetitions, the side can be changed.

    For the hands, we work our way from the outer wrist down the back of the hand and massage each finger individually, working towards the fingertip. Finally, the finger is lightly twisted and pulled. The palm is massaged out with the thumb, starting at the ball of the hand.

    Now spread the Body Cream over a large area of the torso below the décolleté. From the center of the sternum, we always work our way outward. From the navel continue spiraling and clockwise over the entire abdomen. Finally, the spine is massaged - from the coccyx with very gentle pressure upwards as far as it is possible depending on the flexibility.

    Then we stroke from the buttocks down the legs in circular motions. First on the right leg over the inner thigh and then over the outer side to the knee and lower leg to the ankles - then back up to the calves. Now the side is changed.

    Finally, the feet are well lubricated and massaged from the instep to the toes. The soles of the feet are also massaged from the toes to the heels.

    Now let the body cream soak in for 5 to 10 minutes and relax further - for example with a small meditation exercise.
